09.3 PHASE I SELECTIONS

The Army received 1,277 Phase I proposals in response to 81 topics in the 09.3 DoD SBIR Solicitation, which closed 23 September 2009. These proposals were evaluated against the evaluation criteria published in the solicitation book, and rank-ordered for selection. The Army selection process resulted in the identification of 172 Phase I proposals for negotiation and award. Awards are to be made pending completion of successful negotiations and availability of FY09 funds. The Army intends to make all awards no later than late January 2010. Selected companies were notified by PM, Army SBIR and subsequently contacted by the responsible Lab or Center procurement office to begin contract negotiations.
